The galleries to the left are snippets from my journey. A handful of them have been published, but the bulk of them are displayed here for the first time. I am honored to share them with you, and hope you enjoy perusing them.
Back in the day when all my photographs were captured on film, my favorite element of the process was the work done in the darkroom. I loved the swishing, mixing, and best of all – I Loved watching the images emerge. With each wave the contrasts would establish themselves into moments, framed neatly and hung to dry.

At first I was resistant to going digital, but have since come to love the new direction. The sheer willingness of my now light-weight camera to follow me everywhere, to grab handfuls of information that I can pore over later – it’s wonderful. I do though, still find myself taking time to frame each shot, to give respect to the subject right from the start.

Photographs tell stories. They offer possibility and an opportunity to create understanding. They are lasting impressions of the mind’s eye and help us to journey into the past, to faraway lands, and into one another’s thought processes. Each image is a chance at a new perspective, to stretch the way in which we define our world and perhaps even ourselves. An opportunity to recognize something anew. The sparkle in the eye, the blazing glory of leaves vibrantly dying, dew after rain, children being children.

The pictures shown in these galleries are snippets from my journey. A handful of them have been published, but the bulk of them are displayed here for the first time. I am honored to share them with you and hope that you enjoy your time perusing.
