They can be
strung together into poetic dances, intellectual dissertations, into
globally altering movements. It is a way to begin to share our inner
workings with one another, and grapple with life.
With words, we can begin to frame things: our perspective, our understanding.
We make ourselves known, define, comfort, reassure, empower, and throw
open doors of communication. Words play, imagine, create, destroy,
restore.
Writing is something that I am drawn to when life’s narrative
can whittle away the rest. I’ve often been humbled and silenced
not by a lack of words, but rather by the sheer overwhelming abundance
of them.
